Hot Melt Coating (5 lbs Packages)
Precision Brand® Hot Melt Strippable Protective Coating protects items from damage during shipping and handling and from rust and corrosion during long-term storage. They are also used to protect cutting tools, saw blades, gages, gears, and various other parts. Type 1 coating has an Ethylcellulose base, while Type 2 coating has a Cellulose Acetate Butyrate base. The coating is presliced into manageable pieces to facilitate easy removal, and peels right off with minimum fuss. The melting temperature of Type 1 is between 340 to 350 degrees F (about 171 to 177 degrees Celsius), while Type 2 is between 320 to 340 degrees F (about 159 to 171 degrees Celsius).
